With 14% (20,452 sq km) of it's total area allocated as a wildlife conservation zone, Nepal has 15 National Parks and Wildlife Reserves. We organize safaris in the Royal Chitwan National Park which is one of Asia's premier game parks that includes a mix of jungle, grasslands and river plains teeming with wildlife including the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Buffalo - Gaur, Sloth Bear and the more common Great Indian One horned Rhinoceros. We can arrange for you to stay at a variety of lodges where the accommodation is in cool individual cottages conveniently located in a peaceful and secluded place on the edge of the National Park.
The activities planned and conducted by the lodge are excellent and the service is superb. Some of the lodges have their own herd of elephants, which is uses to ferry visitors deep into the jungle for game spotting. Other activities include canoeing, bird watching and Tharu village walks. The Chitwan experience is a wonderful way to start or finish a holiday in Nepal. |
