  Trek duration: 10 nights / 11 days Difficulty: Moderate
This trek takes you into unspoiled country and friendly villages, North East of Kathmandu, well away from the well trodden tourist trails, with clear mountain views of Dorjee Lakpa, Langtang and towards the Eastern Himalayas.
The trek culminates at the Holy Bhairavkunda Lakes, circa 15,000 ft. From here one can do a morning hike north very close to the Tibet border ridge. The ascents are taken very gently and there is lots of time to enjoy the scenery, the villages and the people.
In the Spring, the Rhododendrons and other Spring flowers will be at their best in Apri.

Itinerary Day 01: Depart by Jeep to Jalbire and start trekking. Day 10: At Duguna Gadhi - an abandoned fort high above the Bhote Kosi river. Day 11: Trek ends at Khukuntol, drive up to the Friendship Bridge and then return to Kathmandu. |
